Watch the webinar

This month, CockroachDB v21.1 will be made available. In this release, we worked hard to simplify the deployment of a multi-region database down to a few simple, declarative SQL statements applied as DML. We want to make scale, availability, and low latency access to data as easy as possible for everyone and it’s all about where your data lives.

Please join us as we discuss the challenges of distributed services, multi-region applications, and how our product and engineering team partnered together to make these somewhat complex concepts simple.

We will be joined by Adam Storm, our Director of Engineering, and Andy Woods our Group Product Manager for SQL, to talk about:

  • Why multi-region applications matter and why they aren’t easy with legacy databases
  • Database topologies & why (almost) every database should be multi-region
  • A declarative approach to resilience and low latency data
  • Modifying where data lives in production

As always, this should be an active discussion and we look forward to your participation… bring questions!
