The Architecture of a Geo-Distributed Database

Cockroach Labs co-founder and CTO Peter Mattis, will give a tour of the internals of an open-source, geo-distributed, SQL database. The presentation will cover the usage of Raft for consensus, the challenges of data distribution, distributed transactions, distributed SQL execution, and distributed SQL optimizations, and how CockroachDB has solved some of those thorny problems.
