In mid 2023 the tech world as we know exploded. LLMs took the first steps towards providing AGI capabilities for our everyday use and every company in the world was looking at how it might change their business model. At Noteable we released a plugin with the first wave of ChatGPT's offering and generated instant interest in our free multi-tenant application to the tune of roughly 100x traffic in a little over a month. Due to the technology choices we had made early to prepare for larger customers, including CockroachDB, we were able to respond to the growth with minimal changes and no reachtitecting of our application. In this talk we'll explore how we achieved staying online and minimal disruption and what technology decisions were helpful to avoid architectural threats to our business plans.
